The University of Nicosia had a strong presence for the second year in a row in the Student Conference on Informatics that happened in NOESIS – Thessaloniki Science Center and Technology museum. The University on top of serving as a gold sponsor, also organized to workshops one on Cyber Security (how to penetrate a web server) and Big Data (Interacting with and Visualizing Big Data). The conference was a huge success with lots of student visiting and presenting their work from all over Greece. The AI Lab was there with Dr Ioannis Katakis and Dr Demetris Trihinas. In the end the University of Nicosia received an appreciation award by the Organizing Committee of the conference.
