The Computer Science department of the University of Nicosia participated at the 10th Student’s Computer Science Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece. This is the major Student Conference in Greece where thousands of students present their projects in front of other students, teachers, government and industry representatives. The projects of the students were very interesting discussing issues like Video Games, Machine Learning, Environmental Applications, Health Applications, Artificial Intelligence, and Block Chain technologies. The Computer Science Department of the University of Nicosia was a Gold Sponsor of the event. At the same time a group of graduate students of the department of computer science provided a workshop to the audience of the conference under the topic of “Hacking a Web Server”, while Dr Ioannis Katakis provided a workshop on the topic “Data Science as an Interdisciplinary Tool: The impact on Social Sciences”. There was also a booth where any participant could be informed about the Computer Science Department and the University of Nicosia.
