The AI Lab invited to Open Information Partnership as Technical/Research Advisors

The AI Lab has accepted the invitation of the Open Information Partnership to join its  global network as a technical/research advising partner.

The Open Information Partnership is a diverse network of established organisations, including NGOs, charities, academics, think-tanks, journalists, and fact-checkers, across Europe working in open, independent, fact-based reporting. The partners list includes, among others, BellingCat, the Media Diversity Institute and Zinc Network.

The University of Nicosia AI Lab will provide the OIP with expertise in understanding how AI and Machine Learning can be used to combat disinformation, as well as, how to avoid propaganda in data storytelling through visualization.

The contact endpoint with the OIP in Cyprus is AI Lab’s Dr Demetris Trihinas.
