On Jan 31st, 2020 the AILab invited representatives from the Open Information Partnership (OIP), the British Foreign Office (disinformation unit) and the British Higher Commission in Cyprus, to the University of Nicosia. During the meeting we introduced several of our research projects and current work in the area of disinformation detection and annotation from online media outlets and social networks.
Afterwards, a round table discussion was conducted to discuss how everyone could benefit from further collaborations such as funding the AILab’s disinformation research activities and inviting the AILab’s researchers to future OIP training events across Europe.
