During the dinner gala of the prestigious 14th IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing Technology and Science, our paper entitled “Energy-Aware Streaming Analytics Job Scheduling for Edge Computing” won the Best Paper Award!
In a nutshell, our work introduces PowerStorm, a job scheduler designed for energy-aware data stream processing for Storm capable of striking a balance among energy-efficiency and performance. With PowerStorm the scheduling favours low-power workers, placing adjacent operators close by, while also maintaining user-desired throughput.
